Two early Christmas presents!

December 21, 2006

Well, we might only have one early Christmas present. It all depends on Samuel and Kaylee. The past two nights they have slept ALL night long! Praise God! I feel like a new person now that I’ve had some decent sleep. Hopefully they will continue to sleep through the night. That will be the best Christmas present! The other early present is from our photographer and a family from Live Oak. I won a $100 gift certificate from the photographer by guessing the correct answer to the riddle on her blog. Well, today she e-mailed me and said that Sandy told her that Chris had been laid off and that she wanted to do something nice for us. They gave us a $150 print order credit so that we can order some of the pictures that Stephanie took of the twins! I thought that was the coolest thing! I’m going to save the $100 gift certificate until they are about 6 months old, and have their pictures taken again. You can look at Stephanie’s pictures here. Samuel and Kaylee were models for her newborn portfolio.

On a side note, I’m so excited about American Idol. I’m addicted to that show. I’m not sure why, but I am. It starts in just a few weeks. I can’t wait!

Well, I’ve decided to start a new blog. This way I can post pictures of the babies and give updates on them. Speaking of pictures, here are a couple pictures of Samuel and Kaylee in their Christmas outfits.

Poor Samuel, he hated the little Santa hat. Every time I would put it on him, he would get fussy. I think I got more pictures of him getting mad than anything else. Haha. Kaylee took all kinds of cute pictures. Tomorrow Chris’ mom and I are going to try and take their picture together. They are so much fun. I never realized how fast these little ones would grow up. They will two months old on the 23rd! I can’t believe it.

So, I think I’ve decided to take up photography. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed, and now I have a semi-decent camera and two precious babies to take pictures of instead of my poor dogs. I think I want to take a class this summer if time and funds permit. 🙂 I enjoy it and I can do it as a hobby or as a job which is super cool.
